Book Review – Lessons in Space

Lessons in SpaceLessons in Space by Molly Tabachnikov

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mylla Lessons is a 26th century schoolteacher at a time when children are raised by AIs and love is considered an aberration. Because of this, she doesn’t recognize that her protectiveness and support of her students is in fact love. Then she meets Shan, a handsome off-worlder, and her emotions really go haywire.

Lessons in Space is a thought provoking glimpse into a future I hope never happens. There are twists in the plot I never saw coming, immersed as I was in the story. Despite several scenes of explicit sex, not unexpected in a society where sex is casual and nearly everything goes, I believe that Lessons in Space will appeal to most readers of science fiction.
